remotebox is an application designed for remote controlling the XDJ-R1 model of Pioneer DJ equipment. By establishing a wireless LAN connection between an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch and the DJ device, users can control the equipment from a distance.

Applicable model:

• XDJ-R1

Supported OS:

• iOS 6, iOS 7, and iOS 8
• iOS 4.3 and iOS 5 can be used, but compatibility is not guaranteed.

Main functions:

• Remote control of a DJ device: An iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch allows users to control the DJ device remotely.
• Browsing and selecting tracks on a USB device: Users can browse and select tracks on a USB device connected to the DJ device via the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. Additionally, playlists can be created and edited. This feature enables comfortable track browsing on a larger screen than the DJ device’s display and supports multi-language display.
• Operation of effects on an XY pad: Two types of effects (BEAT/COLOR) can be controlled simultaneously by sliding fingers on the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. This functionality provides a different DJ experience compared to using knobs on the DJ device.
• Direct selection of beat for the AUTO BEAT LOOP function: Users can choose the beat directly for the AUTO BEAT LOOP function using the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. This feature enhances DJ performances with alternative operations from those executed with the knobs on the DJ device.
• MIDI control: When utilizing the DJ device as a MIDI controller for DJ software, the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch can also serve as a MIDI controller. In MIDI control mode, both the DJ device and an iPad, iPhone, and/or iPod Touch can control up to four channels collectively.
• Others: Functions available on the DJ device (HOT CUE, SAMPLER, etc.) can be managed through this application.

For optimal use of this application, it is recommended to have version 2.0.5 or later of rekordbox installed on your Mac/PC. The rekordbox software can be downloaded free of charge from Pioneer's rekordbox site (http://rekordbox.com/).
